Licenses and credits

QClips is free to use. It is built with these projects. The full list with every license is in THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt, which is also in the QClips install folder.

Recording and video

• FFmpeg: QClips runs FFmpeg as a separate program. The bundled build includes x264 and is licensed under the GNU GPL version 2 or later. The license, the exact source archive and the build settings are in the ffmpeg folder of the install and in the third-party notices. Source: ffmpeg-8.1.3.tar.xz with two small patches (GPU scaling: single output pictures and BT.709 colours), printed in full in the install's ffmpeg\README.txt.
• x264 (GPL v2 or later), dav1d (BSD 2-Clause), Intel VPL dispatcher (MIT), NVIDIA codec headers (MIT), AMD AMF headers (MIT), zlib.

Voice commands

• Moonshine speech models: English (MIT License) and Arabic, used under the Moonshine AI Community License. Powered by Moonshine AI.
• Silero VAD (MIT License): finds speech in the microphone sound.
• sherpa-onnx (Apache License 2.0) and ONNX Runtime (MIT License): run the voice models.

App

• Velopack (MIT License): installs and updates.
• NAudio (MIT), Serilog (Apache 2.0), SQLite and Microsoft.Data.Sqlite, Markdig (BSD 2-Clause), the Windows App SDK, Win2D, CommunityToolkit.Mvvm and the .NET runtime (MIT).

This website

• Archivo by Omnibus-Type and Noto Kufi Arabic by the Noto project, both under the SIL Open Font License 1.1 (Archivo license, Noto Kufi Arabic license). The site uses subsets of them.
